Matt Kiewiet, Lee Enterprises’ Virginia Sports Director

Lee Enterprises’ Virginia Sports Director Matt Kiewiet arrived in Richmond, Virginia, by way of Butte, Montana. For the last two years he was the managing editor of The Montana Standard in Butte and the Independent Record in Helena. Before that, Kiewiet was the sports editor of The Montana Standard and a sports reporter for the Independent Record. Prior to that, he also worked on the sports desk for newspapers in Oregon and Arizona.

Kiewiet and his wife, Keely, have two dogs, Jack and Elaine. They enjoy spending time together outdoors and Matt tends to go fishing as much as humanly possible.
